Net Resources for Advanced Math in Nuclear Engineering

AI Thread Summary
Advanced mathematics resources for nuclear engineering are limited online, with most recommendations pointing to general texts in mathematics for science and engineering. Specific texts in reactor physics may also cover the necessary mathematical concepts. A discussion participant noted that there are no dedicated online resources exclusively for advanced math in this field. For graduate students, a list of recommended mathematics courses can be found at the University of Michigan's nuclear engineering site. Overall, while resources exist, they may not be tailored specifically to nuclear engineering.

What level of advanced mathematics?

Probably texts in mathematics for science and engineering are what one needs, otherwise texts in reactor physics would contain the necessary mathematics.

I don't believe that there are online resources in advanced math strictly for nuclear engineering.

Here is a list of mathematics courses recommended for graduate students in nuclear engineering.

Hello everyone, I am currently working on a burnup calculation for a fuel assembly with repeated geometric structures using MCNP6. I have defined two materials (Material 1 and Material 2) which are actually the same material but located in different positions. However, after running the calculation with the BURN card, I am encountering an issue where all burnup information(power fraction(Initial input is 1,but output file is 0), burnup, mass, etc.) for Material 2 is zero, while Material 1...
