AI Thread Summary
For learning about operational amplifiers (op-amps), several recommended resources include Jiri Dostal's rigorous book from 1993, which offers clear explanations but is expensive. Walt Jung's 2004 work is noted for its practical applications, while "The Art of Electronics" by Horowitz and Hill provides a solid introductory treatment. Additionally, Wikipedia serves as a useful starting point with links to further information. Overall, these resources cater to different levels of expertise and application needs in op-amp study.

One of best book I've seen was by Jiri Dostal (1993). It is very rigorous and is not for the casual reader. But it has very clear explanations. The book is very expensive though (see amazon). Its best that you borrow a copy from your school's library before you invest.
Walt Jung (2004) is also good for applications. You can also use Horowitz and Hill (1989) which has some good material on op-amps.

Datasheets.
Before Internet, National datasheets books were nice, with lots of examples and explanations.

I like Design with Operational Amplifiers and Analog Integrated Circuits by Sergio Franco

Thread 'Weird near-field phenomenon I get in my EM simulation'
I recently made a basic simulation of wire antennas and I am not sure if the near field in my simulation is modeled correctly. One of the things that worry me is the fact that sometimes I see in my simulation "movements" in the near field that seems to be faster than the speed of wave propagation I defined (the speed of light in the simulation). Specifically I see "nodes" of low amplitude in the E field that are quickly "emitted" from the antenna and then slow down as they approach the far...
Hello dear reader, a brief introduction: Some 4 years ago someone started developing health related issues, apparently due to exposure to RF & ELF related frequencies and/or fields (Magnetic). This is currently becoming known as EHS. (Electromagnetic hypersensitivity is a claimed sensitivity to electromagnetic fields, to which adverse symptoms are attributed.) She experiences a deep burning sensation throughout her entire body, leaving her in pain and exhausted after a pulse has occurred...
