AI Thread Summary
Plasma waveguides function as high pass filters, allowing only waves below the plasma frequency to propagate. This limitation is tied to the dispersion relation of waves in plasmas, which dictates their behavior based on frequency. Understanding the plasma frequency is crucial, as it defines the cutoff for wave propagation in these guides. The unique properties of plasma affect how waves interact and are transmitted. Clarification on these points is essential for grasping the operational principles of plasma waveguides.

1.i need urgent clarification in this regard .waveguides can be modeled as high pass filters.how ever plasma waveguide guides only those waves which are below plasma frequency. why is it so?

I'm not familiar with plasma waveguides per se, but it might be related to the dispersion relation for waves in plasmas.
