AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around playful comparisons using Google Fight, a tool that pits two phrases against each other based on search results. Participants explore various phrases related to gender stereotypes, such as "men are egotistical" versus "women are egotistical" and "women are chauvinist" versus "men are chauvinist." The results often highlight the absurdity of using search result counts as a measure of validity, with comments emphasizing that the number of results does not necessarily correlate to the relevance or accuracy of the content. The conversation also touches on humorous personal claims of being a "goddess" or "god," with playful banter about search results for these phrases. Overall, the thread maintains a lighthearted tone while critiquing the interpretation of online search data.

Oh goody, this let's me bring up something that's been bothering me lately.

Funny how people misinterpret what the number of "results" found mean in an online search. It basically means nothing, just that the total number of sites listed have some form of the "keywords" somewhere within the site, may not have anything to do with what your were searching for, the words may not even be close to each other on the site. I see some people using the number of results or "hits" as some call them as if it means something, like the more "results" in a search gives validity to what they were searching for.

BTW, "evo is a goddess" has 75,900 results.

the words may not even be close to each other on the site.

That's why you have to use quotes, in order to search for an exact phrase match.

Of course, I generally agree with the sentiment, being a goddess myself.

Patty is a goddess: 505,000 hits

"Patty is a goddess" : 10 hits

Only 13? What? Oh... you made a mistake. You're not supposed to put the 'a' in it. You see, all my worshippers recognize me as being the one true god. So just "Smurf is god", would be the proper term.
Observe.
