AI Thread Summary
When building a street workout park, the choice between round or square tubing for columns is crucial for strength and safety. Round tubing is often preferred for its structural integrity and resistance to bending under weight. However, square tubing can provide better stability for certain designs. It's essential to follow reputable plans and not compromise on material quality to ensure safety. Proper knowledge and adherence to guidelines are vital for constructing safe workout equipment.

Hi guys,
I'm new on this forum.

I need advice... I'm in building my own street workout/calisthenics park at my parents home... I don't know anything about steel materials and so i don't know what steel to use, and what form... Round or square tube for columns. Which would be the strongest?

Weights, movement, and steel don't play well with fragile human bodies.

If you don't know enough to know the answer to this question, you don't know enough to safely design this sort of gear. Find reputable plans online and follow them carefully. Don't skimp on materials.

Good luck.
