AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around the challenges of using ndiswrapper to set up a wireless card on Linux, particularly for a user with limited experience in Linux commands. The user expresses frustration over previous attempts that consumed significant time without success. They seek a quick solution to configure their wireless card, ideally within an hour, and are open to using the latest version of Suse Linux. Additionally, they are interested in accessing their laptop remotely for file transfers and are looking for guidance on identifying the specific model of their Broadcom wireless G card, suggesting that there should be a model number visible on the card itself.

I don't understand ndiswrapper.. or any linux commands.. but I want to move to linux..

I can't figure out how to use the ndiswrapper setup for my wireless card.. I've tried before and it took me multiple hours for multiple days and then I gave up..

I want to be able to access my laptop from a remote location and u/l and d/l files from it.

Web servers I've been usually lately aren't too reliable.
Anyone have any ideas on how I could set up my wireless card in under an hour?

I'd be willing to use the newest version of Suse also.
I'm a student so I don't have a lot of time to play around with Linux commands and so forth..
However, I would be willing to spend at most an hour a day trying to figure junk out.

How can I find out what exact model of broadcom wireless G card I have?

Shouldn't there be a model number on the card somewhere?

In my discussions elsewhere, I've noticed a lot of disagreement regarding AI. A question that comes up is, "Is AI hype?" Unfortunately, when this question is asked, the one asking, as far as I can tell, may mean one of three things which can lead to lots of confusion. I'll list them out now for clarity. 1. Can AI do everything a human can do and how close are we to that? 2. Are corporations and governments using the promise of AI to gain more power for themselves? 3. Are AI and transhumans...
Thread 'ChatGPT Examples, Good and Bad'
I've been experimenting with ChatGPT. Some results are good, some very very bad. I think examples can help expose the properties of this AI. Maybe you can post some of your favorite examples and tell us what they reveal about the properties of this AI. (I had problems with copy/paste of text and formatting, so I'm posting my examples as screen shots. That is a promising start. But then I provided values V=1, R1=1, R2=2, R3=3 and asked for the value of I. At first, it said...
