Short, intensive physics/math courses

AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on finding short, intensive physics and math courses, primarily in the U.S., lasting 1-3 weeks and aimed at high undergraduate or low graduate levels. Participants suggest specific programs, including the U.S. Particle Accelerator School and resources from the Perimeter Institute, which offers graduate-level seminars and lectures. The emphasis is on in-person courses provided by universities or private companies, rather than online options. Users are encouraged to share course names and URLs for reference. The goal is to compile a comprehensive list of suitable courses for interested students.

Hello,

I'd like to create a list of short, intensive physics and/or math courses offered around the world. I'm primarily focuses on the U.S. as that is where I live but for the sake of completeness, anywhere would be good. The courses I'm looking should be short, usually 1-3 weeks in length and highly focused on a specific topic (and very intense). The level should be high undergraduate in physics or low graduate. Any math courses should be somehow related to physics or engineering. Please provide at least the name of the course, a URL would be very helpful.

Thank you very much for your time.

Eric

Thank you jedishrfu. I apologize for being a little unclear.

The courses I'm looking for should be in-person, taught at either Universities or by private companies. An example would be USPAS (U.S. Particle Accelerator School) @ http://uspas.fnal.gov/.

Thank you,
Eric

This is from Perimeter Institute: http://pirsa.org/search

You can achieve lots of seminars and lectures, most of them are graduate level. But there are the ones, you can find them easily, which are for the new students that will enter some kind of a qualification exam there. They are highly intense as you seek.

Hope to enjoy.

Thread 'Is there a white hole inside every black hole?'
This is what I am thinking. How much feasible is it? There is a white hole inside every black hole The white hole spits mass/energy out continuously The mass/energy that is spit out of a white hole drops back into it eventually. This is because of extreme space time curvature around the white hole Ironically this extreme space time curvature of the space around a white hole is caused by the huge mass/energy packed in the white hole Because of continuously spitting mass/energy which keeps...
Why do two separately floating objects in a liquid "attract" each other ?? What if gravity is an emergent property like surface tension ? What if they both are essentially trying to *minimize disorder at the interfaces — where non-aligned polarized particles are forced to mix with each other* What if gravity is an emergent property that is trying to optimize the entropy emerging out of spin aligned quantum bits
