Here is what I recomend:

A. Write down what the question is asking

B. Write down what are the knowns

C. Write down what are the unknowns

D. Write down which method you will try to use to solve this (Energy, kinematic?, and why)

E. Write down the equations you have based on the method chosen from part D.

F. Try to manipulate the equations to get a solution

G. Check your solution to see if it seems too big or small to be reasonable

Thankyou , yea i drew the pictures i got the answer for the speed of the ball , now i have to plug it into an equation to find the time and speed of the person
 
I multiplied the values first without the error limit. Got 19.38. rounded it off to 2 significant figures since the given data has 2 significant figures. So = 19. For error I used the above formula. It comes out about 1.48. Now my question is. Should I write the answer as 19±1.5 (rounding 1.48 to 2 significant figures) OR should I write it as 19±1.
