Hi, I'm in my second year (out of 5) of Systems Engineering. I would love to study Astronomy (which is also a 5 year career) after I get my degree, but I don't know how useful it would be to finish studying that late, and I'm not sure how useful it would be to have both degrees. Obviously I'd have to do some engineering work while I study astronomy, otherwise I'd be wasting my engineering diploma.

By the way, I live in Argentina, so fortunately money is not a concern; there are many free universities which offer Astronomy courses.

Thanks!

TL;DR Summary: I want to do a PhD in applied math but I hate group theory, is this a big problem? Hello, I am a second-year math and physics double major with a minor in data science. I just finished group theory (today actually), and it was my least favorite class in all of university so far. It doesn't interest me, and I am also very bad at it compared to other math courses I have done. The other courses I have done are calculus I-III, ODEs, Linear Algebra, and Prob/Stats. Is it a...
