So after posting the blur contest, I did some experimenting with trees in the wind and the sun.

Camera on tripod, telelens 70-300, all controls manual, exposure 1/4 sec while zooming in

Same exposure but letting the wind do the blurring work

Same exposure while making circles

While making random shakes into the sun

And same position but circling again

Any more blurs you like to share?

That is awesome. The top one is a wormhole transporting members to an alien planet as shown in pics below.

Yeah those are nice...and that first one, when I scroll up and down it looks like it's moving .

FAQ: Blur Photography: Experimenting with Trees in the Wind and Sun

1. What is blur photography?

Blur photography is a technique in which the photographer intentionally blurs or smudges a portion of the image to create a sense of motion or to draw attention to a specific subject. This can be achieved by using a slow shutter speed, moving the camera, or manipulating the focus.

2. How can trees in the wind and sun be used for blur photography?

Trees in the wind and sun provide a natural and dynamic subject for blur photography. The movement of the leaves and branches in the wind can create interesting blur patterns, while the sunlight filtering through the trees can add depth and dimension to the image.

3. What equipment is needed for blur photography with trees in the wind and sun?

To experiment with blur photography using trees in the wind and sun, you will need a camera with manual settings, a tripod to keep the camera steady, and a remote shutter release to minimize camera shake. It is also helpful to have a lens with a wide aperture to allow for more light and a faster shutter speed.

4. What are some tips for achieving the desired blur effect in this type of photography?

To achieve the desired blur effect, it is important to use a slow shutter speed and a steady camera. You can also try panning with the movement of the trees to create a sense of motion. Experiment with different shutter speeds and aperture settings to find the right balance of motion and clarity in your images.

5. Are there any post-processing techniques that can enhance blur photography with trees in the wind and sun?

Yes, post-processing can further enhance the blur effect in these types of photos. You can use software to selectively blur or sharpen certain areas of the image, add contrast and vibrancy to the colors, and adjust the overall exposure and white balance to create a more visually appealing image.
