Ya Give Me Feva: The Mysteries of A Feverish Feeling

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the causes of arthritic feelings experienced during prolonged fevers. It is explained that these sensations are linked to inflammation in the joints, which occurs as the immune system responds to infections. As body temperature rises, it becomes more challenging for bacteria and viruses to thrive, leading to an inflammatory response that can affect the joints. This response is considered normal unless it persists beyond 14 days, which may indicate a need for medical consultation. If symptoms last longer, potential underlying issues could include persistent bacterial or viral infections requiring antibiotics or antiviral medications. Additionally, in individuals over 50, prolonged fever could signal more serious conditions, such as cancer, due to a weakened immune system.

"Ya Give Me Feva..".

Just got over a rather lengthy illness, and my curiosity was pigued. Can anyone tell me what causes the arthritic feelings one gets when running a fever for a long time? Is there something being deposited in the joints, like when a diver gets the bends, or perhaps the muscles or tendons contract? I can't be the only one who wonders this, so rather than just looking up the answers, I thought I'd ask here so others can benifit.

Arthritic feelings is due to an inflammation of your joint.

When you running a fever, your immune system is running inflammation (bacteria and virus grow well at 37C, as temperature rise bacteria and viruses start to have problem growing). As fever and the disease goes on bacteria migth go into your joint and the inflammation process get into your joint in order to eliminate the bacteria or virus.

What your are feeling is normal unless its been for more than 14 days (normal immune responce last 14 days) than you should consult a doctor.

It migth be bacteria or virus but your body is having problem to figth them. Therefore you migth require antibiotics or antiviral medication to help

If your older (above 50 year old) and the fever has been lasting for a while it migth be cancer. You immune system is triyng to figth the cancer but it is not capable of doing it. As you get older your immune system is getting weaker. Not all cancer have fever as a symtomps.

The study provides critical new insights into the African Humid Period, a time between 14,500 and 5,000 years ago when the Sahara desert was a green savanna, rich in water bodies that facilitated human habitation and the spread of pastoralism. Later aridification turned this region into the world's largest desert. Due to the extreme aridity of the region today, DNA preservation is poor, making this pioneering ancient DNA study all the more significant. Genomic analyses reveal that the...
Whenever these opiods are mentioned they usually mention that e.g. fentanyl is "50 times stronger than heroin" and "100 times stronger than morphine". Now it's nitazene which the public is told is everything from "much stronger than heroin" and "200 times stronger than fentany"! Do these numbers make sense at all? How do they arrive at them? Kill thousands of mice? En passant: nitazene have already been found in both Oxycontin pills and in street "heroin" here, so Naloxone is more...
