AI Thread Summary
A user is experiencing inconsistent scrolling issues in Windows Vista when using the vertical scroll bar. The problem occurs when the downward arrow is clicked and released, causing the screen to continue scrolling unexpectedly if the cursor is moved. This issue does not occur in Windows XP. Suggestions for a solution include checking if the user is on a laptop with a touchpad, as double tapping the center of the screen may help exit the 'scroll lock' mode.

i face this weird problem while scrolling in Vista.
It happens like this: suppose I am scrolling using the vertical scroll bar and clicking on the downward arrow on the scrollbar. Now just after releasing the button if i point my cursor on the screen , the screen moves down. But this doesn't happen always.I mean ,it seems to work perfectly fine one second and the other moment i feel like the scrolling is out of my control. My XP has no scrolling problems though.
Can you suggest a solution?

Are you by any chance using a laptop with a touchpad? If that's the case, then you can double tap on the center of the screen to escape this 'scroll lock' mode.

Can AI do everything a human can do and how close are we to that? 2. Are corporations and governments using the promise of AI to gain more power for themselves? 3. Are AI and transhumans...
Thread 'ChatGPT Examples, Good and Bad'
I've been experimenting with ChatGPT. Some results are good, some very very bad. I think examples can help expose the properties of this AI. Maybe you can post some of your favorite examples and tell us what they reveal about the properties of this AI. (I had problems with copy/paste of text and formatting, so I'm posting my examples as screen shots. That is a promising start. But then I provided values V=1, R1=1, R2=2, R3=3 and asked for the value of I. At first, it said...
