Hi all,

I recently got OpenFOAM up and running on my Ubuntu OS. I really like this program. Are you a user and if so what do you think of the program?

OpenFOAM is on my list of things to play with. Did you run into any problems getting it running? What hardware are you using?
 
I got it running without any trouble. Great program, once you get use to it. I am using a Windows 7 x64 CORE i7 processor with 6 gigs of RAM. Works well for simple problems.
 
I am also using openfoam, especially multiphase solvers for cavitation simulation ...we can contact if someone is interested with this topic.

I'm trying to decide what size and type of galvanized steel I need for 2 cantilever extensions. The cantilever is 5 ft. The space between the two cantilever arms is a 17 ft Gap the center 7 ft of the 17 ft Gap we'll need to Bear approximately 17,000 lb spread evenly from the front of the cantilever to the back of the cantilever over 5 ft.
