AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on troubleshooting a 7-segment circuit in Multisim that is not functioning as expected. The user has followed a datasheet to create the circuit but is experiencing issues with its operation. Key points include the identification of the 7-segment display type as common cathode and inquiries about the output voltages from the integrated circuit during simulation. Participants are encouraged to provide insights on potential reasons for the circuit's failure to run. The conversation emphasizes the need for detailed troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

Hi All,
I'm a student and I work with Multisim - I want to create a Simple 7 segment circuit using the Multisim
I have created the circuit step by step looking at a circuit in a datasheet of the 7 segment - and it didn't run at all. Why? (see picture attached)

Can someone help me with that please?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

U2 - common anode or kathode?

Common Cathode - see reference

In your simulation, when you sequence the switches, what output voltages do you get from the IC?
