AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around identifying the type of oscillator represented in a provided schematic. The poster is unsure whether the circuit is a Hartley, Colpitts, or another type, noting the absence of a standard tank circuit. They mention that if the capacitor (CB) is large enough to have negligible reactance, the resonant tank circuit consists of L1, C, and L2, completed by the power supply. The request for assistance highlights the need for clarification on the oscillator type based on the circuit's configuration. The conversation emphasizes understanding resonant circuits in oscillator design.

Homework Statement

hello;
i have this past paper question relevant to a oscillator
they have given the following schematic and question is
"identify the type of oscillator giving reasons"

Homework Equations

The Attempt at a Solution

i tried lecture notes,some books but couldn't figure out this is a hartely or colprits or any other type,i don't see this circuit has standard tank circuit.

can someone help me with this?

Assuming CB is large enough to have negligible reactance, the resonant "tank" is made up from L1, C, and L2. The resonant circuit is completed via the power supply.
