I'm thinking about adding a German class onto that...

Also, my schedule is really weird... I have a lab 4:00-6:50 on Monday and the english class TR 5:00-6:15... Anyone have any experience with classes this late?

Do you live near campus? If so, I don't think that schedule is too bad. I've taken night classes, personally I don't like them, but I live far from campus so I either have to stay on campus for a long time, or waste time going back and forth from campus.

I'm taking (barring any unforeseen incidents):

-Topology (Munkres)
-Probability (Casella)
-Advanced Data Analysis (Using Minitab)
-Some core class (either Intro Microeconomics, Intro Sociology, or Psych Stats) depends on the professors and syllabus.

The best part of this schedule: all my classes are on Tuesday and Thursday!

Organic Chemistry (with lab)
Other classes (Design Process and Directed Studies)

- Human Histology and Histotechnology with lab

EDIT: Are you talking about UMD? As much as I wanted to go there, it's just not worth spending 3 or 4 times the money on.

I would have chosen UMich over UMD anyway :biggrin:... Same problem though. I would probably be willing to pay that much more for Cornell or MIT, but not those.

Thats the plan. I am just a regular ole ME. We have to take at least two courses outside our major, 7 electives total. So I am taking 3 aerospace courses since I am applying to Aerospace graduate school. (Id have to take those courses if I got accepted into Grad school anyways, so it kills two boeings with one bird strike).

Not yet. I'm taking regular old Statics and Structures of Materials next semester (a 5 credit course--of course I have the option of splitting them up into two 3 credit courses). Aerodynamics for me comes 5th semester, and I'm going to my 3rd.

Its by A professor here at my school, and is almost a bible when it comes to Aerodynamics. Its the best book you will ever read. Anderson's book is amazing on the subjet. 10x better than my fluid mechanics book. I sent him an email because I want to ask him some questions on parts he wrote. Hopefully if he's back on campus I can meet up with him in his office. He works also at the Smithsonian and is semi-retired I think. Hes Professor Emeritus.

Mathematical Methods for Scientists (my only undergraduate course this Fall)
Research Seminar
Oral Communication Skills for Physics (basically a first year grad student's "how to speak in public" course)

And then there's the courses I'll have to teach as a TA. Not sure what I get, but I'm hoping it'll be calculus-based physics 1.

OUCH Cyrus! I had an AutoCAD lab at 8:00AM, so I feel for ya!

This fall for me looks like so:

MATH 344 Linear Algebra
PHYS 350 Mathematical Physics I
PHYS 474 E&M I
GERM 101 German
PSYC 220 Abnormal Psycology
T/RS 353 Religions of the World

E&M is probably going to take up a lot of my time, but otherwise I think things will be fine. I have a lot of GE's though. I guess that's the downside of going to a liberal arts university.

Are you at an American university? That lineup of classes just looks different from what I usually see at typical american universities. For instance, the 'behavior of lquids, gases and solids' class looks strange...plus 'behavior' is spelled differently than the American way. :-p

Could you provide a course description of the liquids, gases, and solids course?

No anyone who wants to be an engineer up here takes the courses I posted (plus 5 others : General Chem, multivariable calc, design n communication II, E&M, and a programming course) in the first year. Then after your first year you declare your major. I will prolly be going ME or EE, we'll see. :)

That schedule sucks. You want to be finished as early in the day as possible. 11:30-2:30 is going to be wasted time, because no one really studies between classes like that. It always gets wasted hanging out with friends between classes.

Its better to have one class after the other. Then you just get done with it and go home.

You have a LOT of wasted time between classes.

Watch, you lose this much time each day:

M: 3hr:30min
T: 30min
W: 3hr:30min
Th:30min
F: 1hr

Thats about 10 hours a week wasted between classes doing nothing.

I know. I didn't have many choices in regards to what time I have classes at. This is the only way to get my classes to fit together. I still check every so often to see if any classes opened up so that I would be able to switch a few things around. Unfortunately, moving one thing causes a conflict with another, and so forth.

That reminds me... I recently had orientation and in that we had college specific meetings. The girls at the college of science and college of engineering meetings were mostly :rolleyes:
