Where can I find more challenging excercises?

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the desire for more challenging exercises in kinematics, dynamics, work, energy, and collisions, as the original book's exercises are perceived as too simplistic and scalar. Participants recommend "An Introduction to Mechanics" by Kleppner and Kolenkow, highlighting its engaging and rigorous exercises. The original poster mentions studying software engineering and suggests that this may contribute to the perceived ease of the current material. Overall, the conversation emphasizes the need for more stimulating problems in physics to enhance understanding and application of concepts.

Ehi guys. I noticed that the excercises of my book are quite 'scalar', that is none of them require to use explicitly some vector properties, they're all funny special case. I want something more exciting. Do you have any suggestion?

Thank you very much! Bye bye

topic: kinematics, dynamic of points and system of points, work, energy, dynamic of solid body, collisions between points

just curious, what book are you using?

I would recommend An Introduction to Mechanics by Kleppner and Kolenkow.
Great book with great exercises.

I'm not american, also I'm studying software engineering, I think that's the reason the book is not very tough

Hey, I am Andreas from Germany. I am currently 35 years old and I want to relearn math and physics. This is not one of these regular questions when it comes to this matter. So... I am very realistic about it. I know that there are severe contraints when it comes to selfstudy compared to a regular school and/or university (structure, peers, teachers, learning groups, tests, access to papers and so on) . I will never get a job in this field and I will never be taken serious by "real"...
