AI Thread Summary
Polymer blend sheets, specifically mixes like PC-ABS or PMMA-PC, are sought for testing applications, but availability appears limited. The inquiry suggests that these blends are not commonly sold, potentially indicating a lack of market demand due to the existence of superior alternatives. A recommendation is made to seek advice in specialized forums such as chemistry or chemical engineering for further insights. The discussion highlights the challenges in sourcing specific polymer blends for testing. Overall, the conversation underscores the need for more information on the market for these materials.

I'm looking to get some polymer blend sheets for some tests. Something like PC-ABS or PMMA-PC or something of that nature. Basically a mix of 2 polymers but NOT a co-polymer. Just a simple mix. I looked all over and haven't found anyone selling it. Thanks!

While I am far from a specialist in polymers, I have been doing a little reading into them as my company is thinking about using polymers to replace existing materials. Might I suggest asking in the chemistry forum or chemical engineering?
If it's not sold then maybe there isn't a market for it. i.e. There are more superior polymers.

I have Mass A being pulled vertically. I have Mass B on an incline that is pulling Mass A. There is a 2:1 pulley between them. The math I'm using is: FA = MA / 2 = ? t-force MB * SIN(of the incline degree) = ? If MB is greater then FA, it pulls FA up as MB moves down the incline. BUT... If I reverse the 2:1 pulley. Then the math changes to... FA = MA * 2 = ? t-force MB * SIN(of the incline degree) = ? If FA is greater then MB, it pulls MB up the incline as FA moves down. It's confusing...
Hi. I noticed that all electronic devices in my household that also tell time eventually lag behind, except the ones that get synchronized by radio signal or internet. Most of them are battery-powered, except my alarm clock (which runs slow as well). Why does none of them run too fast? Deliberate design (why)? Wrong temperature for quartz crystal? Decreasing battery voltage? Or just a coincidence?
