AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the direction of current flow in a provided diagram. Participants confirm that current is allowed to pass in the direction indicated by the arrow. A "blocking" line in the reverse direction signifies that current is obstructed. Clarifications provided help resolve initial confusion about the current's direction. Overall, the consensus reinforces understanding of current flow in the context of the drawing.

This!

Current is allowed in the direction of the arrow.
The reverse direction starts with a "blocking" line crossing the wire, meaning current is blocked.

hah, hi ILS!

The...above one...yes?

Yes!

That's how I thought it should be but something confused me. Now it makes sense. thanks!

Thread 'Motional EMF in Faraday disc, co-rotating magnet axial mean flux'
So here is the motional EMF formula. Now I understand the standard Faraday paradox that an axis symmetric field source (like a speaker motor ring magnet) has a magnetic field that is frame invariant under rotation around axis of symmetry. The field is static whether you rotate the magnet or not. So far so good. What puzzles me is this , there is a term average magnetic flux or "azimuthal mean" , this term describes the average magnetic field through the area swept by the rotating Faraday...
