AI Thread Summary
A user is seeking assistance in finding a winch with specific specifications: approximately 50W power, capable of lifting around 180Kg, and compatible with DC 12V or 24V systems, featuring a gear ratio. They aim to compare this winch to their own, which has a 180:1 gearbox ratio. The discussion highlights the difficulty in finding winches that meet these low power requirements, as most automotive winches start at around 1hp. The user is particularly interested in options available in the 12V winch market for off-road vehicles. Expert recommendations or leads on suitable winches are requested.

Hi,
I am looking to find a winch on the web to have some specifications but nothing. Is there any person who can help me to find a winch at the specification i need? Thanks

Specifications: ~50W power, to lift ~180Kg, DC 12V or 24V, and to have a gear ratio.

Basicaly i have to find a winch to make comparison to my own which is 50W, 180Kg pulling force, it has 180:1 gearbox ratio. I have to find a winch to compare the powers and the gearbox ratios, but nothing on the web. Thanks, any help will appreciated.

I would look at 12V winches markets for off road vehicles.

Umm... the OP is looking for 1/15hp. Those automotive winches begin around 1hp, and up.

Thread 'I need a concave mirror with a focal length length of 150 feet'
I need to cut down a 3 year old dead tree from top down so tree causes no damage with small pieces falling. I need a mirror with a focal length of 150 ft. 12" diameter to 36" diameter will work good but I can't think of any easy way to build it. Nothing like this for sale on Ebay. I have a 30" Fresnel lens that I use to burn stumps it works great. Tree service wants $2000.
Hi all, i have some questions about the tesla turbine: is a tesla turbine more efficient than a steam engine or a stirling engine ? about the discs of the tesla turbine warping because of the high speed rotations; does running the engine on a lower speed solve that or will the discs warp anyway after time ? what is the difference in efficiency between the tesla turbine running at high speed and running it at a lower speed ( as fast as possible but low enough to not warp de discs) and: i...
