Yeah right? The magic often happens during the witching hours. People disagree on when precise they fall, I think it's safe to say somewhere between 00:00 and 04:00.

(Although to be honest that's also where I've made most of my scatterbrained failures. Nothing's perfect in this world.)

That was pretty annoying. I even consulted the letter frequency table but it did me no good.

From SIREN to LOVAT?
I found the letters left after ignoring the EN in the 14 eligible words and plugged them into my spreadsheet. It didn't come up with a very good number for the best pick(WOMEN:1.929) of the 14, so I found another 150 and it told me LOVAT:1.214 had the highest probability of minimizing the number of subsequent guesses.

A value of 1.000 in my spreadsheet tells me that the guess is ideal as it will identify the solution with that guess.
