The Institute for Creation Research (ICR) is a Creationist apologetics institute in Dallas, Texas that specializes in media promotion of pseudoscientific creation science and interpretation of the Genesis creation narrative as a historical event. The ICR adopts the Bible as an inerrant and literal documentary of scientific and historical fact as well as religious and moral truths, and espouses a Young Earth creationist worldview. It rejects evolutionary biology, which it views as a corrupting moral and social influence and threat to religious belief. The ICR was formed by Henry M. Morris in 1972 following an organizational split with the Creation Science Research Center (CSRC).Its work in the field of creation science has been rejected by mainstream science, but has been significant in shaping creationist thought in the United States by introducing creation science through fundamentalist churches and religious schools, and by engaging in public debates against supporters of evolution. The ICR also offers unaccredited graduate level programs in Biblical Apologetics, including a minor in Creation Research. The ICR also operates the ICR Discovery Center for Science & Earth History museum in Dallas, Texas.

Water flow rate and drip surface tension

hello i have a drip tube with water dripping and when i increase the flow rate or frequency of drips they get bigger/more massive. i see the equation mass x gravity = 3.14(tube diameter)(surface tension) my mass is changing but not gravity, 3.14 or tube diameter so surface tension must be...

Calculating Discharge Rate of Fluid in Circular Area

This is actually right at the start of another derivation, but I can't understand how the author gets the formula for ##q##. So the discharge per unit thickness is the circumference of the circle, multiplied by the velocity at that point (at ##r##)? I thought the formula for flow rate was...

B Frame Dragging Rate: Mass Proportionality?

Curious about frame dragging. Is the rate at which frame dragging occurs proportional to mass? For example, when the Earth rotates it has been confirmed space drags with the earth. I assume the rate is very small compared to the rotation rate of the earth. However, if the mass of the Earth...

Rate of conduction heat transfer with different hot-side and cold-side areas

When is the rate of change of Kinetic Energy maximum here?

    Because, ##F=ma=kv##, therefore, ##a=kv/m##. Clearly, the net acceleration ##A=-(g+a)##. Also, ##A=dv/dt=-(g+ \frac {kv} m )##, so cross multiplying and integrating LHS with respect to ##v## and RHS with respect to ##t## gives me: $$ v= e^{ \frac {-tk} m } * (u + \frac {gm} k) - \frac {gm} k $$...

Flood drainage outflow rate from horizontal 1500m drainpipe at sump

This 1500 m long , 2m diameter , 1m below flooded road surface from point at right side to sump at left side is horizontal. My understanding for sufficient drainage is a minimum fall, 1:100 required. Then with a gradient of .01 a pipe of this length should have a 15m fall. There is grating...

Does the rate of which something melts/vaporizes increases with heat?

Something I've been thinking about recently is like how much heat would it take to evaporate an entire lake in less than a second. Or something like Tungsten Steel. The main question is does an increase in heat increase the rate of its change in structure? Sorry for the boring question.

Does inertia have anything to do with bodies falling at the same rate?
