AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on gathering information about tennis and volleyball throwing machines, with an emphasis on constructing a volleyball machine. Participants suggest researching simple machines like trebuchets for inspiration. A key concern raised is how to achieve velocity control for the motor used in the machine. The conversation highlights the need for specific ideas on maintaining ball trajectory and minimizing rotation. Overall, the thread serves as a resource for those interested in building ball-throwing machines.

I wonder that are there anyone who have an idea about ball throwing machines(tennis ball throwing machine, volleyball throwing machine etc.) How can i get information about this subject?
(i am sorry of my bad english, i wish i could explain what i want to learn :smile: )

Are you trying to figure out how to make one?

thank you for your help.
yes i was trying to figure out that.
i am trying to project a volleyball throwing machine and getting knowledges about that. i need any different ideas. the two thing is to keep in mind that the ball will not rotate on its own center as much as possible and the trajectory is determined (specified)

Not sure if you are trying to construct something for yourself or manufacture something, but if you are looking to make a simple ball hurling machine, do a Google search for Trebuchet. It is a simple style machine that you could use to hurl any type of object.

thank you everyone who helped me, i get many informations about the machine. i have only one problem that;
how can i do velocity control to a motor, in other words, by using what kind of motor, i can control the velocity of the motor?

Thread 'Turbocharging carbureted petrol 2 stroke engines'
Hi everyone, online I ve seen some images about 2 stroke carbureted turbo (motorcycle derivation engine). Now.. In the past in this forum some members spoke about turbocharging 2 stroke but not in sufficient detail. The intake and the exhaust are open at the same time and there are no valves like a 4 stroke. But if you search online you can find carbureted 2stroke turbo sled or the Am6 turbo. The question is: Is really possible turbocharge a 2 stroke carburated(NOT EFI)petrol engine and...
I need some assistance with calculating hp requirements for moving a load. - The 4000lb load is resting on ball bearing rails so friction is effectively zero and will be covered by my added power contingencies. Load: 4000lbs Distance to travel: 10 meters. Time to Travel: 7.5 seconds Need to accelerate the load from a stop to a nominal speed then decelerate coming to a stop. My power delivery method will be a gearmotor driving a gear rack. - I suspect the pinion gear to be about 3-4in in...
