AI Thread Summary
Moisture can be introduced into the air using devices like humidifiers, which increase humidity levels effectively. In extremely cold temperatures, methods such as snow-making machines can create artificial snow by utilizing water vapor and freezing temperatures. The Great Lakes region experiences lake-effect snow, a phenomenon resulting from increased moisture in the air. For a deeper understanding of atmospheric humidity, various educational resources are available online. Engaging with community members can provide further insights and assistance on this topic.

Hi

Can anyone tell me know to introduce moisture in air?

Also, how to introduce moisture (or snow?) in air when the temperature is far below zero?

winnie t,

Here is a result of increasing the moisture in the air that is happening right now in the Great Lakes region:

Here is a good technical explanation of atmospheric humidity:

Here is a self-learning mini tutorial of excellent quality: http://achieve.weatherbug.com/Lessons/LessonWrapper.aspx?dir=IMS&less=IMS011&lessname=Moisture%20in%20the%20Air&lang=English&schname=AWS+Headquarter&schcity=Germantown&schstate=MD&maxPages=0&Units=English&stnid=AWSHQ&camid=AWSHQ&usertype=s&isSample=1&

This is the function of a humidifier...though I'm not sure what it has to do with snow. Perhaps if you elaborate on the question...

So I know that electrons are fundamental, there's no 'material' that makes them up, it's like talking about a colour itself rather than a car or a flower. Now protons and neutrons and quarks and whatever other stuff is there fundamentally, I want someone to kind of teach me these, I have a lot of questions that books might not give the answer in the way I understand. Thanks
