AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the search for detailed information regarding a cancer treatment pill developed by an Asian girl, with participants expressing frustration over the simplistic coverage by mainstream news outlets. A link to the Siemens Foundation website is shared, highlighting a competition where the individual presented her work, but it lacks further details. The conversation notes that while specific information on her research is scarce, the field of nanoparticles for drug delivery is extensive, encompassing various technologies such as dendrimers, liposomes, and quantum dots. Overall, the thread emphasizes the need for more in-depth resources to understand the scientific mechanisms behind the treatment.

question is, do you know about a link where this particle is explained. All the news sites are dumbed down for the masses so all they say is that some asian girl invented a pill for cancer. HOW DOES IT WORK?

Any links?

There doesn't seem to be any more information about it anywhere, although she clearly prepared a poster and a presentation for the competition.
In light of the lack of information (I've not got time right now to look up for any more information on Ms Zhang's work) there's not much that can be said. Nanoparticles for drug delivery is a huge research field at the moment and includes dendrimers, liposomes, quantum dots, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-as...e_applications, DNA nanotechnology and a host more.
