A Simple Question on Notation

    [SOLVED] A Simple Question on Notation

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

    For this, P=rho

    "A ball of density Pb (with Pb << Pa) and..."

    What does the "<<" symbol indicate? I have never seen this notation before.

    << means "much less than"
