Breakdown of Predictability in Gravitational Collapse

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the difficulty of accessing specific academic papers, particularly "Breakdown of Predictability in Gravitational Collapse" by S. W. Hawking and Onsager's solution of the Ising model in two dimensions. The original poster is seeking free versions of these papers, noting that Hawking's work is not available on arXiv. They suggest that individuals affiliated with universities might find these papers in their libraries or archives, indicating that institutional access could be a solution for those struggling to find these resources online.

Hey, I am Andreas from Germany. I am currently 35 years old and I want to relearn math and physics. This is not one of these regular questions when it comes to this matter. So... I am very realistic about it. I know that there are severe contraints when it comes to selfstudy compared to a regular school and/or university (structure, peers, teachers, learning groups, tests, access to papers and so on) . I will never get a job in this field and I will never be taken serious by "real"...
