Recommendations for a textbook on "Complex Variables with Applications" emphasize the need for resources with ample practice problems and less theoretical content. Notable suggestions include "Complex Variables" by Flanigan, which is user-friendly, and "Complex Variables with Applications" by Saff and Snyder, praised for its inclusion of answers to odd-numbered problems. Additionally, "Mathematical Methods in the Physical Sciences" by Boas is recommended for its approachable content. Each book is noted for its practicality and relevance to the course, catering to students seeking hands-on problem-solving experience.

Hi, I have notice that Ashcroft, Mermin and Wei worked at a revised edition of the original solid state physics book (here). The book, however, seems to be never available. I have also read that the reason is related to some disputes related to copyright. Do you have any further information about it? Did you have the opportunity to get your hands on this revised edition? I am really curious about it, also considering that I am planning to buy the book in the near future... Thanks!
