AI Thread Summary
The discussion critiques the website emf-health.com for promoting products with insufficient scientific backing. Participants express skepticism about the claims made regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF) and the effectiveness of a "magic sticker" being sold. Concerns are raised about the lack of credible evidence and transparency regarding the scientific studies referenced, particularly the vague mention of a "group of German scientists." Additionally, the high prices of the products are highlighted as a point of contention, with a general sentiment that the site exemplifies a profit-driven approach rather than a genuine concern for public health.

15 minutes of loosely backed up scaremongering followed by 10 minutes of trying to sell you a magic sticker.
I wonder if I can get them to advertise my magic beans.

What do you think?

One of the sickening symptoms of a society that is based on selling, and business.

Other than that, i also find that they did not provide clear evidence of how the emf affect us and has no information on what group of scientist have done the result. I remember there's was a line like this, " a group of german scientist claim..." and who are they?

Last thing, the stuffs are really expensive!

I am vaguely aware of possible dangers posed by mobile phones, so at least there they have a little credibility, but not much. The main place they trip up (if I had to pick one of the many) is by not explaining how their magic sticker is supposed to have any effect on the EM reaching a person's body.

I am reading Nicholas Wade's book A Troublesome Inheritance. Please let's not make this thread a critique about the merits or demerits of the book. This thread is my attempt to understanding the evidence that Natural Selection in the human genome was recent and regional. On Page 103 of A Troublesome Inheritance, Wade writes the following: "The regional nature of selection was first made evident in a genomewide scan undertaken by Jonathan Pritchard, a population geneticist at the...
I use ethanol for cleaning glassware and resin 3D prints. The glassware is sometimes used for food. If possible, I'd prefer to only keep one grade of ethanol on hand. I've made sugar mash, but that is hardly the least expensive feedstock for ethanol. I had given some thought to using wheat flour, and for this I would need a source for amylase enzyme (relevant data, but not the core question). I am now considering animal feed that I have access to for 20 cents per pound. This is a...
