AI Thread Summary
Artificial blackbodies have not yet been fully created, although materials that absorb over 95% of light exist. The discussion raises questions about the implications of creating a true blackbody, such as whether it would be visible or appear as a hole in space. Current advancements in material science have led to significant progress, but a perfect blackbody remains elusive. Theoretical considerations suggest that the visibility of such an object would depend on its properties and the surrounding environment. Overall, the quest for a true blackbody continues to intrigue scientists and researchers.

oooh. that's cool. but let's say that one was found or created. would we see through it, or would it just be a hole in space? or neither?

So I know that electrons are fundamental, there's no 'material' that makes them up, it's like talking about a colour itself rather than a car or a flower. Now protons and neutrons and quarks and whatever other stuff is there fundamentally, I want someone to kind of teach me these, I have a lot of questions that books might not give the answer in the way I understand. Thanks
