AI Thread Summary
To establish a home network between a Windows 2000 Pro computer and a Windows 98 SE machine, the Windows 98 computer can see the Windows 2000 machine but encounters issues connecting due to password authentication problems. The Windows 98 machine prompts for a password that is not being accepted. To resolve this, it is essential to create a user account on the Windows 2000 machine for each user who needs access. This setup is crucial for enabling file and print sharing between the two systems. Resources are available online to guide users through the account setup process for Windows 2000, which may help streamline the networking experience.

I'm trying to set up a home network between two comuters. i have both connected to a router and they connect to the internet just fine. On computer has Win 2000 Pro and the other Win 98 SE. My computer with win 2000 is able to see and connect to the win 98 machine but i can't get the win98 to connect to the other. It sees it just fine but when i click on it, the comp asks for a password and it won't accept the one i gave it to begin with. anyone have an easier way to set up the network? i managed to setup a network between winxp and win98 before. win2K seems to not be very user friendly when it comes to networking. I'm networking for file sharing and print sharing. thanks for the help.

Can AI do everything a human can do and how close are we to that? 2. Are corporations and governments using the promise of AI to gain more power for themselves? 3. Are AI and transhumans...
Sorry if 'Profile Badge' is not the correct term. I have an MS 365 subscription and I've noticed on my Word documents the small circle with my initials in it is sometimes different in colour document to document (it's the circle at the top right of the doc, that, when you hover over it it tells you you're signed in; if you click on it you get a bit more info). Last night I had four docs with a red circle, one with blue. When I closed the blue and opened it again it was red. Today I have 3...
