AI Thread Summary
Dos.bootinfector is a type of malware that can infect a computer's boot sector, causing issues with normal startup and often evading detection by standard antivirus programs. Users experiencing this infection may find their PC only boots in safe mode. To remove dos.bootinfector, it is recommended to use specialized malware removal tools or bootable antivirus rescue disks, as traditional virus scanners may not detect it. Additionally, updating the antivirus software and performing a thorough system scan can help identify and eliminate the infection. If the problem persists, seeking professional technical support may be necessary.
