if operating temperature in a data sheet is not given??

if the operating temperature is not mentioned in the data sheet of a device, does it mean that the temperature is a non-issue and that it can operate at any temperature?even -90celsius??

Engineering news on Phys.org

No.
Probably means it can only operate at 25 degree C.

Can you post a link to the datasheet?

better yet...i've attached the data sheet...

It probably means that the manufacture has not tested it at temperature.
Manufacture has a free telephone number that you can call. Call the manufacture and ask him. The answer you get will be much more reliable than anything that you get on an engineering forum.

there's a metal to glass seal someplace in that device. The manufacturer's ceramic engineer knows its limits and I'm surprised it's not in the datasheet. Usually the limit for operation and storage are both given.

I bet Perkin-Elmer will appreciate your pointing it out.
