AI Thread Summary
Bluetooth technology has seen significant adoption in various applications, particularly in personal devices like keyboards, mice, and audio systems. However, its integration into PC peripherals, especially printers, has been slower. While Bluetooth-enabled devices are common in consumer electronics, such as cars and speakers, the availability of Bluetooth printers remains limited, with few options on the market. The convenience of wireless connectivity is appreciated, but the lack of diverse Bluetooth printer models has hindered broader adoption in PC applications. Despite these challenges, Bluetooth's popularity continues to grow, indicating a positive trend for future developments in this area.

I've always thought the concept of bluetooth was awesome for PC's. I have a bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mouse and they are great. Why hasn't Bluetooth technology taken off for PC applications? I've seen like, 2 printers that are bluetooth compatible and one got taken off of newegg and the other is like, a monochromatic laser printer  . I've always thought that a good inkjet printer using bluetooth would be awesome. A 802.11 wireless printer is neat but i like the idea that i could bring the printer elsewhere.

So why hasn't bluetooth taken off with such great applications?

In my discussions elsewhere, I've noticed a lot of disagreement regarding AI. A question that comes up is, "Is AI hype?" Unfortunately, when this question is asked, the one asking, as far as I can tell, may mean one of three things which can lead to lots of confusion. I'll list them out now for clarity. 1. Can AI do everything a human can do and how close are we to that? 2. Are corporations and governments using the promise of AI to gain more power for themselves? 3. Are AI and transhumans...
Thread 'ChatGPT Examples, Good and Bad'
I've been experimenting with ChatGPT. Some results are good, some very very bad. I think examples can help expose the properties of this AI. Maybe you can post some of your favorite examples and tell us what they reveal about the properties of this AI. (I had problems with copy/paste of text and formatting, so I'm posting my examples as screen shots. That is a promising start. But then I provided values V=1, R1=1, R2=2, R3=3 and asked for the value of I. At first, it said...
