Light bulb & photovoltaic cell & power transformer combo for FREE energy

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around the feasibility of creating a perpetual motion machine using a combination of a light bulb, photovoltaic cells, and power transformers. Participants emphasize that while power transformers can step up voltage, they ultimately lead to power loss rather than free energy generation. The concept of free energy is dismissed as impossible, with references to the laws of thermodynamics reinforcing that input power must equal output power. The conversation highlights the misconception surrounding the potential of such energy systems. Ultimately, the consensus is that free energy devices do not exist.

Does anyone think that it's possible to have a perpetual motion machine electricity generation of a combo of a light bulb shining light on photovoltaic cells that are connected to power increase transformer coils to power that light bulb? I suppose there would have to be some kind of way to start it like a battery, power supply, capacitor, etc.; and there would have to be a way to make sure it doesn't cause too much electricity that would overload said light bulb - the surplus electrical energy would have to be used by something else like say a dishwasher. Reminds me of the Dyson's Sphere.

Unfortunately there's no free energy. It would be nice, though.

There is no such device.

This is your second post on PF and your second post on free energy. You're not going to get far here or in any scientific pursuit if that is your sole/primary focus.

Power increase transformers, a.k.a. step up transformers, do exist. A power increase transformer is basically two coils of wire adjacent to each other except the output power voltage coil of wire is much more massive than the input power voltage coil of wire. You can read the information about electrical power transfomers at this link:

No, they do not exist. Transformers can step up voltage, but they reduce current leading to net power dissipation. Note on the Wikipedia link you posted "the input electric power must equal the output power":
