i just finish a intro lin algebra/de course. I'm looking for a more advanced lin algebra book that would be a step up from the intro book. also, what course should i take after this?

i had success with lang's linear algebra book (he has two--get the junior level version) as well as axler's "linear algebra done right."

there is a thread on this a little bit further down in this forum.

the best linear algebra book is probably hoffman and kunze.

after you get off the ground you might try a real graduate algebra book like lang, or sah, or even a great undergraduate algebra book, by Michael Artin called Algebra.
