ProProgram for drawing functions

AI Thread Summary
A user seeks a program that can draw mathematical functions and highlight enclosed areas without using inequalities. A suggested workaround involves creating the graph in one application and then using a graphics program to fill the desired area. The user prefers a single application solution but appreciates the alternative method. There is a consensus that a suitable program may exist, though the exact technology is not well-known among participants. The discussion emphasizes the importance of finding efficient tools for mathematical visualization.

Hello, good morning.

I would like to know if someone knows a program to be able to draw the functions in the same way as the one shown in the image and also allow me to point out an enclosure formed by them without having to use inequalities to do so.

Thank you very much for everything beforehand.

As a work-around, you could always do the graph and then drop it into a graphics program and flood-fill the area you want with the color you want, as I have done here w/ the yellow:

Okay, thank you very much but what I was looking for was to be able to do it all from a single application.

Oh, I understood that. I was just looking for an alternative in case you can't find one. I suspect you WILL be able to find one, but am not familiar enough w/ the technology to be sure and being an engineer, I always look for a way to achieve the end result using alternate methods if needed.

Yes, it's really a very good alternative if I'm not finally able to find another remedy, I appreciate it very much.

I'm trying to decide what size and type of galvanized steel I need for 2 cantilever extensions. The cantilever is 5 ft. The space between the two cantilever arms is a 17 ft Gap the center 7 ft of the 17 ft Gap we'll need to Bear approximately 17,000 lb spread evenly from the front of the cantilever to the back of the cantilever over 5 ft. I will put support beams across these cantilever arms to support the load evenly
Thread 'Physics of Stretch: What pressure does a band apply on a cylinder?'
Scenario 1 (figure 1) A continuous loop of elastic material is stretched around two metal bars. The top bar is attached to a load cell that reads force. The lower bar can be moved downwards to stretch the elastic material. The lower bar is moved downwards until the two bars are 1190mm apart, stretching the elastic material. The bars are 5mm thick, so the total internal loop length is 1200mm (1190mm + 5mm + 5mm). At this level of stretch, the load cell reads 45N tensile force. Key numbers...
