Our bengal jumps up at the living room door handle and opens it. She is not allowed to do this as she might escape somewhere. The door has a lock, so we keep it locked at night. You can't take the key out of the door when locked.

The other day, I saw her jump up and push down the door handle and twisted the key with her other paw. She did this action in seconds and opened the door. I shut the door and locked it again and she jumped up and repeated it with the same precision.

Quite an intelligent animal. See if you can train it to answer questions in PF ; ).

I have to rehome one of my cats. Ella keeps attacking my bengal. I have to keep Jade in my bedroom until I find a suitable home for Ella. It's not play fighting. She literally tries to kill her.

They used to be ok together, but Ella has turned into a psycho. Ella is ok with people and accepts my other two kittens, but just won't tolerate Jade anymore.

Well, a phone security surprise. Google sent me a message that someone had asked to use one of my mail accounts as the recovery phone of that someone. I of course said no. I suspect the issue is that one of my authentication factors was a phone number I no longer use. Someone at that phone number may have received a password meant for me. Anyway, 2FA reset. Phew.

It could have just been a simple typo on their part. I did that when entering a phone number for an account once and couldn't get the company to fix it because they insisted on using the wrong number for verification. I ended up giving up on buying anything from them.

My point was that the person who now owns my former phone number likely received a notification , as part of a 2FA, intended for me and somehow used that knowledge to try to hack me.

This has been going on for years now/already, but I find the seemingly intentional removal of comfortable seating at Barnes and Noble bookstores to be really unpleasant and uninviting.

There is no reason for me to go and stay there. I used to go and spend half a Saturday or Sunday afternoon to early evening there just relaxing, exploring, reading, people watching, and even buying food/drink. Now, it's less enjoyable and I've lost a place to "chill."

I know...they probably think less stragglers leads to less property maintenance or something like that. But, for me, it also has meant just not going and buying/spending anything at all.

I know...they probably think less stragglers leads to less property maintenance or something like that. But, for me, it also has meant just not going and buying/spending anything at all.

I felt like crying when Borders Books folded. I hear they didn't make the transition to selling online too well.

I am always disappointed with the science section overall but the atmosphere, level of busy, always warm in the winter and service still very good.

They have a lovely little cafe on the top floor and it is a joy to watch young people reading there, phone free.

The media company has sold First We Feast, the studio behind the viral YouTube series “Hot Ones,” to a group of investors that include the production company’s founder Chris Schonberger and the host of “Hot Ones” Sean Evans, as well as Crooked Media, Mythical Entertainment and Soros Fund Management. Additional investors will be announced at a later date.

The all-cash deal saw the production company being sold for $82.5 million. Thanks to this transaction, as well as a partial prepayment of Buzzfeed’s outstanding convertible notes, Buzzfeed is now operating with a cash balance that exceeds its debt.
