AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on the development of a pressure-reverse system designed to counteract the effects of explosions by quickly reversing temperature and pressure changes. The creator believes this technology could significantly reduce damage and save lives during explosive events. Concerns are raised about the practicality of deploying such a system in time to be effective, especially if an explosion is imminent. The feasibility of the concept remains uncertain without further details on its design and implementation. Overall, the idea presents an innovative approach to mitigating the dangers of explosions.

Anyone interested in creating pressure-reverse systems that respond to sharp temperature-pressure increases such as in explosions I am building one! Explosives have caused much damage to human life for many years, now, but if we build a reverse-pressure system that is quick enough to reverse the temperature and pressure of explosions we could save many lives!

If it is known that an explosion is about to happen somewhere, in time to bring such a device into play, it is likely also that there is time to get people out of the area, so I'm not sure this is much of a viable idea, but since you haven't really described it at all, it's hard to tell.

Thread 'How can I find the cleanout for my building drain?'
I am a long distance truck driver, but I recently completed a plumbing program with Stratford Career Institute. In the chapter of my textbook Repairing DWV Systems, the author says that if there is a clog in the building drain, one can clear out the clog by using a snake augur or maybe some other type of tool into the cleanout for the building drain. The author said that the cleanout for the building drain is usually near the stack. I live in a duplex townhouse. Just out of curiosity, I...
Hi all, I have a question. So from the derivation of the Isentropic process relationship PV^gamma = constant, there is a step dW = PdV, which can only be said for quasi-equilibrium (or reversible) processes. As such I believe PV^gamma = constant (and the family of equations) should not be applicable to just adiabatic processes? Ie, it should be applicable only for adiabatic + reversible = isentropic processes? However, I've seen couple of online notes/books, and...
