Studying Scholars & Physicists: A Look into Their Approach & Use of Online Videos

AI Thread Summary
Top scholars and passionate physicists typically adopt a structured approach when tackling new topics or chapters. They often begin by reading the material thoroughly, followed by reflecting on the concepts and conducting additional online research to clarify any confusion. This iterative process may involve revisiting the text multiple times to deepen understanding. Engaging with online videos is also significant, as they provide visual explanations that can enhance comprehension. Furthermore, actively solving problems is crucial for solidifying knowledge, emphasizing the importance of a proactive and hands-on learning strategy. Seeking help through research when faced with challenges is also a common practice among these learners.

I am curious about how top scholars or passionate physicists approach a new topic or a chapter. Do they just dive right in or they do something else before approaching the topic? What's their method of working? Also, I want to know the significance of online videos in understanding a topic. How much they refer them. Thanks!

I should think they read it, think about it, research it further online, and go back to reading it again and then most importantly doing some problems to cement their understanding.

Did I mention researching whenever you're stuck or confused especially while trying to solve a problem?

Your learning must be proactive, active, and hands-on.

Hey, I am Andreas from Germany. I am currently 35 years old and I want to relearn math and physics. This is not one of these regular questions when it comes to this matter. So... I am very realistic about it. I know that there are severe contraints when it comes to selfstudy compared to a regular school and/or university (structure, peers, teachers, learning groups, tests, access to papers and so on) . I will never get a job in this field and I will never be taken serious by "real"...
