AI Thread Summary
Security settings in Windows 2000 can block certain email links from functioning in Outlook Express, including links to personal folders, merchant advertisements, and eBay image links. Users can adjust these settings through the Control Panel to enable these links. The issue was resolved by setting the default email and browser correctly, allowing the links to work as intended.

There must be some security setting in Win2k which is blocking some emailed links from working in Outlook express. For example, the link to a PF PM when I am emailed a notification does not work. In many merchant email advertisements there are "picture button", ie click on the picture to go to some specific info, these do not work. Also image links in Ebay do not work.

Could anyone send me to the place in win2k where I might find the setting to allow this type of activity. I know it can be done and have been looking through the various settings found in the control panel, but no luck so far.

Am I going to have to email my son again (he is part of the network support group at CMU)?

My sons advice was predictalbe. ... Dump Outlook Express

I found the buttons. It was set to use the current Email and browser as default. All is better now.

Last night I had four docs with a red circle, one with blue. When I closed the blue and opened it again it was red. Today I have 3...
Thread 'ChatGPT Examples, Good and Bad'
I've been experimenting with ChatGPT. Some results are good, some very very bad. I think examples can help expose the properties of this AI. Maybe you can post some of your favorite examples and tell us what they reveal about the properties of this AI. (I had problems with copy/paste of text and formatting, so I'm posting my examples as screen shots. That is a promising start. But then I provided values V=1, R1=1, R2=2, R3=3 and asked for the value of I. At first, it said...
