What is the evil genius theory?

In summary, the evil genius theory is a philosophical concept that questions the reliability of our perceptions and beliefs by proposing the idea of an all-powerful, deceiving entity known as the "evil genius." This theory suggests that this entity could manipulate our thoughts and senses, making us question the validity of our own existence and knowledge. It challenges the idea of absolute truths and raises doubts about the certainty of our understanding of the world.

Descart also came to the conclusion it does not matter what the evil genius does to reality because reality to him is what he makes of it, and said his very famous phrase " I think therefore I am".
