AI Thread Summary
To install apps on a TI-89 calculator, a USB link cable or standard I/O cable is necessary to connect the device to a computer or another TI-89. The software "TI Connect" is required for communication between the calculator and the computer. Users can find programs on websites like ticalc.org, and the calculator's manual provides valuable information on the process. Some users may encounter issues with loading drivers for TI Connect, which can hinder the installation of the software.
