Understanding Frequency Response & Gpath

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the confusion regarding the frequency response of capacitors and the Gpath graph. As frequency increases, the reactance of a capacitor decreases, leading to a drop in voltage across it in a series RC circuit. Participants question the accuracy of the VR and VC labels on the graph, suggesting they may be incorrect. Clarification is sought on the source of this information, with one participant inquiring if it was derived from a book. Understanding these principles is crucial for accurately interpreting frequency response in electrical circuits.

i can't understand how they got the praph of the capacitator

i clearly see that as the frequency goes up so does omega so the denominator goes up
and the whole expression decrisses

why does the gpath goes up as the frquency goes up

It looks like they have got the VR and VC labels wrong.

The reactance of a capacitor drops with rising frequency, so the voltage across the capacitor would drop too, in a series RC circuit.

Was this in a book?
