A right triangle is shown below. The charge on the right is unknown, but the electric field shown is only in the –x direction.

I have no idea how to start this problem. I have just been staring at it for 20 minutes. I would really appreciate any help.

You have not posted any relevant equations. I think a good starting point would be looking for an equation for the electric field due to a point charge.

As you have explained the electric field is in the -x direction. Would this mean that there is no y component at the point in question?
 
I multiplied the values first without the error limit. Got 19.38. rounded it off to 2 significant figures since the given data has 2 significant figures. So = 19. For error I used the above formula. It comes out about 1.48. Now my question is. Should I write the answer as 19±1.5 (rounding 1.48 to 2 significant figures) OR should I write it as 19±1.
