What are some recommended books for Fluid Mechanics and Waves?

AI Thread Summary
Recommendations for books on Fluid Mechanics and Waves emphasize the need for accessible texts that focus on conceptual understanding rather than heavy mathematics. Tritton's "Physical Fluid Dynamics" is suggested for its clarity, while Segel's "Mathematics Applied to Continuum Mechanics" is noted for its approachable mathematical content. For a more narrative-driven exploration without mathematical complexity, Vogel's "Life in Moving Fluids" is highly recommended. These texts aim to strengthen foundational concepts and provide thought-provoking problems suitable for readers seeking a less math-intensive approach.

Can anyone recommend books for Fluid Mechanics and Waves.
I don't want a book that requires high amount of maths but a book that strengthens your concepts and thought provoking problems.
