What is the physical composition of energy?

AI Thread Summary
Energy is not composed of physical substances but is rather an observed characteristic of physical processes. It is a property inherent to objects and their interactions. The discussion highlights that energy cannot be broken down into components like bosons or photons. Instead, it is analogous to momentum, which also lacks a physical composition. Understanding energy requires recognizing it as a fundamental aspect of physics rather than a material entity.

Energy is not "made up" of anything. It is an observed characteristic of physical processes.

Energy is a property of objects. Asking what energy is made of, is like asking what momentum is made of.

So I know that electrons are fundamental, there's no 'material' that makes them up, it's like talking about a colour itself rather than a car or a flower. Now protons and neutrons and quarks and whatever other stuff is there fundamentally, I want someone to kind of teach me these, I have a lot of questions that books might not give the answer in the way I understand. Thanks
