AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the bond enthalpy of the nitrogen-oxygen double bond (N=O). A participant is struggling to find this specific value, prompting suggestions to check textbooks or indexes for relevant information. It is noted that the enthalpy of atomization for nitrogen monoxide (NO) is approximately 632 kJ/mol, which can serve as a reasonable estimate for the bond enthalpy of the N=O bond.

Check the back of your book? Index C or something like that.

anywhere includes all the books I have

(at the ocassion of the first aniversary of this question)
the enthalpy of atomisation of nitrogen monoxide is close to 632 kJ/mol.
This may be a fair first estimate of the bond enthalpy of N=O.

I want to test a humidity sensor with one or more saturated salt solutions. The table salt that I have on hand contains one of two anticaking agents, calcium silicate or sodium aluminosilicate. Will the presence of either of these additives (or iodine for that matter) significantly affect the equilibrium humidity? I searched and all the how-to-do-it guides did not address this question. One research paper I found reported that at 1.5% w/w calcium silicate increased the deliquescent point by...
