Graduate Effective Lagrangian: Breaking Causality or Non-Local?
As I have read, the effective Lagrangian are non local sometimes, does that mean they break causlaity ? Are they non local because the heavy particles ( propagators) are integrated out?- emanaly

Graduate Inflation is very unlikely less than 10^-6.6×10^7
Do you agree with physicist Sean Carroll that inflation is very unlikely? http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/cosmicvariance/2010/07/08/how-finely-tuned-is-the-universe/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+CosmicVarianceBlog+%28Cosmic+Variance%29 -

Graduate What is the more puzzling our universe with inflation or without it?
Hi all, I know that inflation solves shortcomings of Standard big bang cosmology, but doesn't intoducing inflation puts us in another puzzle , what is the mechanism which is responsible for inflation? I mean what is the more puzzling our universe with inflation or without it? -

Graduate Are monopoles a problem for all gauge groups in GUT theories?
Hi All I have some questions about monopoles, I would be grateful if someone help me in answering them. 1-Does all GUTs gauge groups simple and semi simple suffer from the monopoles problem? 2- If semi simple groups suffer from the above problem why standard Model doesn't produce monoples...- emanaly

Graduate Energy required to create electron positon pair
I have read in a book by Jonathan Allday (Quarks, Leptons and the Big Bang, Institute of Physics Publishing Bristol and Philadelphia), the following The positron electron pair which are materialized out of the vacuum are being created by the energy stored in the vacuum(zero point energy) and...- emanaly

Graduate Existence of virtual particles
Thanks for all answers, but I still have some questions, I would like someone help me in answering them. 1-How another interpretation of QM explain a virtual particle created from nothing (virtual particle depend highly on energy- time uncertanity)? 2-How the energy -time uncertanity relation...- emanaly
