Neccessary Math before going for a PhD
I am learning that now! It's rather interesting! What about Real Analysis, Complex Analysis, Abstract Algebra, Lie Theory, Differential Geometry, Calculus of Variations,etc?- Thinker301

Neccessary Math before going for a PhD
Awesome, I have got those down. Say I want to go into HEP/CondensedMatter/Astro/Nuclear (all theory)?- Thinker301

Neccessary Math before going for a PhD
Hello everyone, How much math should I know like the back of my hand before I go to grad school, so that I am not barred from a field because I don't know enough math. I am not sure what field of physics I want to go into. I will probably be in theory though. (I am doing research in theory...- Thinker301

Undergrad Transform from Magnitude of P to R
Sadly that integral is undoable. I may have forgot to mention the function I am trying to transform is spherically symmetric. If that helps.- Thinker301

Missing from Spivak's Calc: Rudin & Pugh Books
If I read and work through Rudin's PMA or Real Mathematical Analysis by Pugh, what in Spivak's Calculus am I missing? I have learned Calc 1-3 satisfactorily. Thanks!- Thinker301

Kleppner as first time seeing physics
Hmm, so I already know SV Calculus except I am a weak on my integration techniques, and from the test, my intuition isn't too bad. I guess I will just start with Kleppner. Should I learn some MV first and brush up on my integration techniques. If I should, where would be the quickest place to...- Thinker301

Kleppner as first time seeing physics
Thank you all! I do have some knowledge, but it's mostly from Youtube videos and such. What do you think of "Six Ideas That Shaped Physics" goal? http://www.physics.pomona.edu/sixideas/sipref.html Also if I do take a different intro book, should I go back to Kleppner or just move on?- Thinker301

Kleppner as first time seeing physics
Hey everybody! I was wondering if it's reasonable to use Kleppner as my first time learning physics? (Self-Study) Also what are all your opinions of Feynman's Lectures of Physics (with the problem book) as an intro, if Kleppner is over the top? Thank you! Kleppner then Morin or quick intro then Morin?
I have choice between using Kleppner then doing Morin right after or using some quick intro to mechanics then Morin, what do you guys think? Thank you for your input :) With my heart on my sleeve, The Thinker- Thinker301

Plan for a prospective "warp theorist"
Hmm I see your point. Of course I could work on trying create "exotic matter". Do you think as the idea becomes more plausible, more organizations would fund it?- Thinker301

I have read up on Alcubierre Drive before. (why I made this post) I didn't read the Wiki until now though. Interesting stuff. Thanks for showing it to me! :)- Thinker301
